Candida causes Allergies and Food IntoleranceCould Candida Explain the Recent Rise in Allergies?

These past few decades have marked a dramatic shift in baselines regarding health and immunity. Strangely, allergies have started to appear more frequently and with an increasing severity in newborn children. This concept can be highlighted with the renowned peanut allergy scares, which haven’t been a problem in history until now. I have always thought that perhaps the low-fat diet trend could have caused a Candida overgrowth epidemic, which has caused this golden age of allergies and food intolerance that we are having now.

Many people are turned off by the idea of alternative medicine and theories that are brought up which aren’t exactly taught about in schools. First world education seems to focus on the basics of health like the food pyramid (which may have severe flaws in itself), focusing on nutrition (which may be way more complicated than it seems) and exercise (which, again, may be much more complicated than we believe). I am also not a fan of conspiracy theories or smear campaigns. However, I am a genuine fan of truth and progress.

Simply put: I believe that we aren’t getting anywhere with solving these severe health problems that we are having by being constantly skeptical. Maybe we should accept new ideas and investigate before we say “I don’t want to hear that mumbo jumbo again.” Because to me, this just sounds like “I don’t want to hear it, I want to do what I want and not feel bad about it.”

We should really get over this as a society and investigate claims with research so that we can accurately dispute them with evidence. There is no evidence right now that disproves the ideas that Candida overgrowth is a problem for first world citizens. In fact, just the opposite is true. I would love to share the information that I research so that I can spread possible ideas to research about and hopefully cure allergies, autism, cancer, and mental disorders. These health problems highlight our generation and their reign should be brought to an end.

Candida yeast grown in petri dish

This is what Candida looks like grown in a petri dish.

What is Candida?

We all hear about Candida from alternative medicine sources, but we also hear a lot of mixed opinions about it. Some flat out deny that this organism even exists, which is ridiculous because it absolutely does. This fungus-like yeast has many essential functions for most mammals, including humans.

This naturally-occurring organism is scientifically named Candida albicans and it is one of the most common members of human gut flora. It is naturally found in the large intestine and it serves the purpose of breaking down simple and complex carbohydrates. Humans have a symbiotic relationship with Candida because it helps to break down food to be absorbed for energy in the intestines. In return, Candida gets to consume some energy found in the carbohydrates, which it ferments into alcohol (which may also be absorbed by the large intestine).

Candida albicans is considered an “opportunistic pathogenic yeast” when it is found outside of its normal habitat. In about half of healthy adults, this yeast is present in the mouth and gut. However, a biological understanding of how yeast and fungus would lead you to believe that it has a high potential to overgrow. That is exactly what Candida does when there is a high presence of sugar, or carbohydrates in general, in the digestive system.

Symptoms of Candidiasis

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention recognizes Candida albicans as a potential fungal invader that can infect the entire body. There are over 20 species of Candida yeasts that can cause an infection in humans, but the albicans strain is by far the most common.

When this yeast overgrows outside of the large intestine and into the small intestine or bloodstream, the CDC classifies this infection as “Candidiasis.” Symptoms of this condition will vary depending on a number of factors, including the specific fungal strain, the person’s unique body, and their immune health.

The most common symptoms of Candida yeast overgrowth include:

  • Chronic fatigue
  • Trouble concentrating
  • Digestive problems
  • Yeast infections
  • Oral thrush
  • Infection of the sinuses or nasal passageways
  • Food allergies
  • Food intolerances
  • Seasonal allergies and other environmental sensitivities
  • Suppressed immune system
  • Joint pain
  • Skin problems (acne, eczema, rash)
  • Depression, anxiety, insomnia and other mental disorders

These are the most common and notable symptoms, but they may vary between two different people. Different symptoms may appear as well that weren’t listed.

How Can Candida Overgrowth Cause Allergies?

To be clear, there is not concrete evidence describing how exactly this yeast can cause allergies yet. In fact, there really is no evidence to prove why allergies exist in the first place, but there are a few ideas. And of those ideas, a few of them make a lot of sense to me.

The health condition called an “allergy” describes how the immune system responds to a harmless particle in an aggressive way. A person’s immune system is confused and produces systemic inflammation with hopes that it will kill the potentially deadly invader. However, there was nothing dangerous at all, just harmless pollen or a food item, which should have been appropriately used for energy in the first place.

I believe that the severity and presence of allergies have everything to do with the capability of an individual person’s immune system. When your immune system loses its abilities to perform properly, conditions arise that appear physically as allergies and other autoimmune disorders. After all, it is your immune system’s job to identify real pathogenic invaders. If this system doesn’t have everything that it needs to function properly, these immune conditions may arise more prevalently.

Therefore, perhaps the direct reason that Candida yeast overgrowth causes allergies is because it dramatically weakens the immune system of a person. And this makes a lot of sense to me because what is happening isn’t naturally supposed to occur inside a person’s body. What is supposed to happen is the immune system keeping yeast in check within the colon, like it is supposed to.

When you are systemically infected with this yeast, immunity may be stunted. Perhaps something more specific is involved to increase these detrimental effects on the body. It could be that the yeast is preventing a specific nutrient from being available, or white blood cell counts could be lowered, or enzyme counts could fluctuate as well. But these are all just wild guesses in the dark that are all possibilities, which may be proven in the near future.

Proof of This Concept in Research

At this point, there is a plethora of knowledge about parasitic infection and how it affects your immune system. It seems strange that there is evidence that infection can cause different reactions depending on the type and person who is affected.

A scientific writer named Velasquez-Manoff received worldwide acclaim after his experiments about how the introduction of hookworms in his body had actually cured his symptoms of hair loss, allergies, asthma and Crohn’s disease. Readers had thought that this was unbelievable, but to biologists, it could make a lot of sense.

This man went to Mexico, bought 30 hookworms and let them infect his intestines before he had noticed these results. In his writing, he concludes that he believes the worms affected his immune system by suppressing it just to the point where it wouldn’t kill the parasites. But in doing this, all of his symptoms disappeared from his allergies and other autoimmune diseases. He believes that the infection had kept his overactive immune system in check after decades of suffering from autoimmune symptoms.

Allergies Candida

Infection Can Have A Positive or Negative Immune Effect

What should we take home from this revolutionary research? First of all, that allergies are caused by an overactive immune system responding inappropriately with a lowered function. Second of all, some parasites have the ability to weaken the immune system of the host for the purpose of survival.

It is strange that, in this case, the host had actually benefited from suppressing his own immune system. However, this definitely is not the case for all people. If we can just keep our own immune systems in check naturally without introducing a potentially deadly parasite, we can cure allergies.

This research could parallel how a Candida infection could affect a person’s immune health in the same way. It may have the ability to alter the body in negative ways, which can actually cause autoimmune problems in itself because the yeast is trying to survive unnaturally within the body.

Candida Overgrowth is More Common Because of Low-Fat Diets

After the president of the United States suffered from a heart attack in the 1980’s, the country was in a panic because nobody wanted to experience the same dreadful thing. For some reason, research was funded to suggest that fat content in foods were the direct cause of heart problems that lead to heart attacks and death. The research that came to this result was funded by the large sugar companies. That is an extremely important note in this story, suggesting that there was market manipulation involved in favor of sugar. There’s no such thing as a fat company, after all.

In the 90’s, it was popular to believe that fat content of all kinds was deadly. This is ignorant, however, because there are many different kinds of fat that do a plethora of different things for your body. In fact, fat is essential for the proper function of your body, just like popular health science had always suggested.

Remember it was supposed to be Fat/Protein/Carbohydrates?

These were the most important macronutrients that you needed a healthy balance of to have vitality. Now all of a sudden, we should eat no fat, but continue to eat fat? Yes, this makes no sense for a reason. The research about fat consumption and heart health is completely wrong. It was manipulation by the sugar companies to convince people to buy more sugar instead of fat so that they would make more money.

What replaced fat in low-fat foods? Sugar.

High-Sugar Diets Allow Yeast to Grow and Thrive

Perhaps the reason we are suffering from an epidemic of allergies, obesity, autism, cancer, and heart disease still is because of the aftermath of decades with low-fat foods. Which also means decades of diets high in sugar. Healthy fats like omega fatty acids are absolutely essential to the proper functioning of the body.

The presence of simple sugar allows Candida albicans to thrive and grow unnaturally. Humans, or animals in general, have not eaten this amount of sugar ever before in history. This overgrowth is a vicious cycle because Candida in high amounts can make you crave even more sugar.

This is what I confidently believe because it is the only lead we have! A higher sugar content could also contribute to other health effects that could lead to allergies as well. Parasites feed on sugar, sugar suppresses immune function, and sugar causes weight gain.

I understand though if you would like to deny my hypothesis, but I am confident for a reason. After several personal Candida cleanses for myself, I have experienced a dramatic improvement in my health and allergies.

Candida causes disease and inflammation

My Personal Experiments With Candida Cleanses and Allergies

I have suffered with severe allergies of all kinds throughout my life. In particular, I had allergies to the pollen of every season, oral allergy syndrome to most raw fruits and vegetables, and allergies to every pet with fur. Come to think of it, I was pretty much allergic to everything except grains and red meat.

I know that it’s unbelievable, but I can confidently say that I have made all of these allergies disappear. One of the methods that I attribute to healing my allergies is cleansing excess yeast in my body.

Candida overgrowth was always a concern for me because I studied biology and knew that yeast feeds and grows with the presence of sugar. It also seemed very reasonable that this infection could be the cause of my allergies. After researching, I had tried all of the conventional methods to help cleanse Candida: apple cider vinegar, diatomaceous earth, fiber, probiotics, and all.

All of these natural supplements have helped me tremendously, offering me slight reductions in the severity of my allergy symptoms with each dose. However, none of those came even close to the benefits I have received from taking this Candida cleanse that I had bought on Amazon. Click to check the price because sometimes it is on sale. It combines natural herbs and enzymes to restore the natural function of Candida in your digestive system.

This supplement combines the best natural supplements that are available for the treatment of Candida overgrowth. In my opinion, the best natural cleanse for any type of infection is one that incorporates several methods into one. We all know what coconut oil and apple cider vinegar work wonderfully for cleansing excess Candida. By themselves, they can only be so effective. But when you combine them, these two work together in synergy to provide even better results.

It’s always best to take on an issue from multiple angles to maximize efficiency.

Best Method to Cleanse Excess Candida Yeast ASAP

Of all the methods that I have tried for cleansing Candida in my body, the best one that I have tried myself is without-a-doubt apple cider vinegar enemas. I know that this sounds a little bit crazy, but this method provided me the best results in only one day.

When you think about the mode of action that this Candida cleanse method provides, it makes a lot more sense. Yeast does not like lower pH values, like that of vinegar. Therefore, applying natural vinegar directly to the source will be most effective for everybody.

How this method works involves diluting two tablespoons of organic and raw apple cider vinegar in a glass of purified water. It should be diluted, not too much water or too little so that it doesn’t cause too much discomfort during the process. First, try to empty your colon of you-know-what either after a bowel movement or after a few warm water enemas.

Enema bulb for Candida cleansing

This is what I use for enemas. It is much easier than using an enema kit or bag. It can be found for cheap at any pharmacy or drug store.

What has worked best for me is one of those little bulbs that you can find in any drug store. It is either labeled something like “anal douche” or “enema bulb” and it has a suction bulb that you squeeze with a plastic insertion tip that goes inside of you. Many experts recommend that you use an enema kit with the plastic bag and drip tube, but I think that the bulb is more simple and does the job just fine. Plus it is less of a process, less to clean up, and less expensive. If you think that using this method for apple cider vinegar enemas is inefficient, please let me know your opinion in the comment form below.

Washing Your Colon of Excess Yeast

Anyways, just suck some of the apple cider vinegar water into the bulb and try to flood your colon with this magic liquid while lying down on your side or back with your knees raised. This enema is a rather difficult one compared to water or coffee enemas, but it is worth it. Try your hardest to retain this liquid inside of you because it will cause a little bit of discomfort and a desire to eject it. Don’t worry because everything should be fine. If you are in pain, don’t be afraid to let it go.

After about 2-4 minutes, you will probably want to eject the enema very badly, so you can do it. If you inspect what came out of you, you might notice some string-like things called rope worms, or red tomato pieces that are actually liver flukes. Then, you’ll know that these are infecting you as well.

After about 10 minutes proceeding the ejection of the enema, you will want to go to the bathroom again. Usually, this results in nothing but the release of pure Candida yeast into the toilet. You can physically observe with your eyes what Candida looks like jumbled up like this in a pinkish-beige glob. If a lot comes out of you, you’ll know that you might have a bit of a yeast overgrowth problem and you may be surprised about it because you eat salads and all that.

Candida in Stool May Cause Allergies

This is what Candida yeast looks like. You will likely remove a large amount of it like this after an ACV enema or during a Candida cleanse. Then you’ll know that you are making progress.

This is by far the most effective method for cleansing excessive Candida in my opinion because the results are quick and you can physically see the results. I feel so much better the day after doing one of these, too. My allergies are reduced tremendously, including seasonal allergies to pollen and food intolerances like oral allergy syndrome.

Cleansing the Source of the Candida Overgrowth

From what I can deduce, this enema method helps Candida overgrowth wonderfully because it reduces the quantity of the yeast/fungus at the source of where it should be: your colon. If there is too much in your colon, this causes it to spread to other areas of your body. If you keep it in check in your colon, the Candida will be less likely to thrive in other areas because the source of it was diminished.

This gives your body some extra time to heal by reducing the load of Candida in your large intestine. The fungus will then take the next few weeks to try to grow back to healthy levels where it is supposed to be, which dramatically keeps the overgrowth in check. This is not any type of expert remedy, but I have tried dozens of Candida cleanse methods and this one was surprisingly the best for me. You can try one of these enemas a few times a week for your initial cleanse. After that, once per week should be good enough to keep healthy levels of yeast in check.

If your Candida overgrowth is extensive and spread throughout your body, then perhaps a cleansing supplement that combines multiple natural ingredients would be much more beneficial. The enema only keeps your intestines (the source of the Candida) in check, which may cure the source of the problem for most people.

Bottom Line for Allergies and Candida Overgrowth

It is very possible that Candida overgrowth is the primary cause of many different types of diseases, not just allergies and food intolerances. This condition causes a systemic inflammation that is not natural for humans to be faced with. This is the only time in history that we are facing this issue. It is not strange how the same can be said for allergies, mental health issues, autism, and cancer.

I know that I am not a doctor, but I have years of experience with Candida myself, so I just want to help others going through the same thing, especially if you suspect that this is a cause of your allergies. Hopefully, this post has provided you with a little bit of an angle on today’s current health epidemics. I believe that corporate-funded research like that of fat and heart disease is a huge issue for our society because it is preventing us from getting the truth about our health.

Thankfully, the truth always comes out eventually and it always sets us free.

  1. Hi
    Thanks for this
Do you think doing enemas damage the intestines?

    1. Author

I think that it depends on what you are using as an enema solution. If it is apple cider vinegar enema, then it seems that there will be no physical or chemical damage to the colon. The purpose of the enema is to restore the proper pH balance of the colon so that yeast cannot overgrow. Candida yeast loves an alkaline environment and apple cider vinegar has been known for thousands of years to effectively kill yeast. It seemed like a recipe for excellence, and this enema solution has proven multiple times to improve my health.

As for other enemas like hydroxide solutions, many have said that they have chemically damaged their colon by leaving it inside them for too long. I would definitely not recommend doing one of those, or squirting something inside of you that you are unsure about. However, apple cider vinegar with purified water seems to be just fine.
