What are Essential Oils?

Essential oils are distilled or pressed from the leaves of plants, stems, roots or other parts of aromatic plants. Each type of oil has a unique chemical composition, smell and reaction within the body when ingested. With aromatherapy, when the receptors in your nose collect the compounds of the aroma, the oil is allowed to cross into your bloodstream, organs and brain to provide noticeable and beneficial effects in your body.

There are many ways to properly use essential oils for your health and wellbeing. Some love the aroma and add drops to their linens, floor or mix a few drops in a bowl of water.
